What Is EETN?

Equipping Evangelists is a ministry of The Cross Current equipping evangelists in their own churches to equip their own saints for the work of gospel ministry together (Ephesians 4:11-12).

Equipping Evangelists Training Network (EETN) is a fellowship of experienced equipping evangelists credentialled and contracted with The Cross Current to personally train another likeminded saint for conversational evangelism alongside any others the evangelist is already equipping.

As experienced equipping evangelists, accredited EETN Trainers can also be on-ramped to our

to help multiply gospel ministry in their own churches through equipping their own saints for conversational evangelism in gospel missions partnership together.

Trainers can equip saints for evangelism in 3 contexts:

  • Primary Evangelism Training for the saints in your own church. The EETN will help you fulfill your primary ministry as an equipping evangelist with and for your own local church.
  • Secondary Support Training for other trainers and churches. EETN Trainers can sign-up to serve and support other EETN Trainers and their churches in their mutual local mission field.
  • Regional Representative Training with TCC regionally (for compensation). Some EETN Trainers may choose to pursue accreditation to facilitate training of individual Christians and churches as a regional representative with The Cross Current.

Illustratively, getting equipped by example for confident conversational evangelism is like learning to drive a car and EETN Trainers are like Formula 1 field trainers in the doctrine and practice of gospel witness. Trainers are guided by an online support site to equip their trainees by example over a training term of 3 simple sections: 1. Starting gospel conversations, 2. Steering gospel conversations, and 3. Discipling another saint.

Yes! The primary evangelism training purpose of the EETN is to help equipping evangelists fulfill their primary ministry of equipping the saints in their own church.

Those EETN Trainers who choose to pursue accreditation as Regional Representatives with The Cross Current may receive compensation for facilitating teaching/training of individual Christians and churches.

For Trainees

Every Christian is called to do the work of an evangelist, which is simply sharing the gospel with unbelievers (2 Timothy 4:5). This is why any Christian can be trained by an EETN Trainer to fulfill our common commission more faithfully in Christ.

The goals of EETN training are two-fold. First, to equip every Christian by example for confident conversational evangelism whenever, wherever, and with whomever the Lord has providentially placed in your life. However, to have confident gospel conversations we must hear confident gospel conversations, which is why walking the streets with an experienced equipping evangelist is so helpful and practical for all gospel witness. The second goal of the EETN training is to train those Christ-followers called to be equipping evangelists as disciplemakers in evangelism with their own local churches.

Yes! Because the EETN training plan equips trainees to disciple another saint, any Christian who completes the training will also be able to equip other saints by example in your own family and local church as well.

The suggested honorarium compensates the EETN Trainer, covers the costs of your required evangelism training and tools, and also helps further our local gospel missions work.

All trainees who are personally trained by an accredited EETN Trainer and successfully complete the entire EETN training plan are eligible to become members of the EETN, which is equivalent to being a Trainer.
