The Cross Current

About TCC

Our Story

Equipping the Church by example since 2007.

Who We Are

The Cross Current (TCC) is a local missions ministry that equips the Church by example to normalize sharing the gospel. Since our founding in 2007, we’ve worked alongside churches, pastors, and evangelists to build a culture where gospel conversations are ordinary — not exceptional.

We believe every church member has a role to play in the Great Commission. Our tools, curriculum, and training programs are designed to mobilize entire congregations, not just the few who feel “called to evangelism.”

Our Mission

To equip the Church — by example — to normalize sharing the gospel in everyday life.

What We Believe

The gospel is the power of God for salvation

Every believer is called to share their faith

The local church is God’s primary mission vehicle

Evangelism can and should become ordinary church culture

Our Founder

Cory McKenna

Founding President

Cory founded The Cross Current to equip the Church by example for everyday evangelism. Combining years of experience as both a pastor and an evangelist, he equips churches and their evangelists with the practical training, fundamental tools, and step-by-step principles to share the gospel naturally.

He hosts The Equipping Evangelist Podcast and leads TCC’s mission to help churches who unify in the gospel, multiply in the gospel.
